TRAIL   CONDITIONS

The trails are always open!

*Watch for slippery conditions when walking on the boardwalks and observation platforms. It is generally cooler by a few degrees in the forest. Trails that are wet may be slippery.

Paper trail maps can be found at the main trailhead kiosk near the picnic area or in the Farmhouse entryway which is always open.  Please donate $1 for trail maps to defray printing costs or return them after your walk. Donations can be made in the donation box at the main trailhead or in the Farmhouse entryway. Thank you.

The trails can be accessed from:

1. The main trailhead kiosk near the Picnic area

2. The west field trailhead near the Bunkhouse and Foreman’s house

3. Joy Elementary School trailhead

4. Wedgewood Resort trailhead

TRAIL   ETIQUETTE

*Please leash all dogs and clean up after them out of respect for other trail users. You can bring your own plastic grocery bags and recycle them as waste bags.

*Bicycles are not allowed on the Boreal Forest Trail.

*4-Wheelers are not allowed on the Refuge.
